Feel free to leave comments for the students. When viewing the blogs, think about what makes a "good" blog? What makes you want to read it? What sort of blog titles do the students use to catch your attention? Which types of titles don't catch your attention? What does the writer do to make it interesting?
Google Lit Trips
Follow this link to view a google earth map and literature trip for the book Walk Two Moons. When you click on the link, read "Getting Started." You may need to download Google Earth (free) onto your computer. Then, click on the link for grade 6-8 and find the book Walk Two Moons. Click on the download to view the literature trip. The map will show you all of the places that Sharon Creech talks about in the book and you can follow Salamanca on her journey with her grandparents. However, (SPOILER WARNING!) don't click on the last few places on Salamanca's journey or you may learn too much!
